Quantum of Solace: The new James Bond game

Not too long ago(2006) we learned of Activision's purchase of the rights to make a James Bond game. It is confirmed that the game will be made on the same engine as Call of Duty 4. The game will launch on multiple platforms, X360, PS3, Wii, and PC, and is being developed by four different companies. It's release it to coincide with movies release. Quantum of Solace, the movie is set to debut on November 7 of this year, the same day the game is said to be released in the US. October 31st is the game's release date in the UK. 

The game's content will come from both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, the 21st and 22nd Bond films. While the game is characterized as a First-Person Shooter there will be times when the view will switch to Third-person. The main character, of course, being Daniel Craig's James Bond. 

UK PlayStation Magazine will feature the first screenshots of this new game, this according to SarcasticGamer.com. The article also discuss some of the game play features. One aspect of game play that has been verified is the life meter, stay away from battle long enough and it will charge back up. More is also reveled on how the functionality of playing in both first and third person. The camera angle will change in certain situations, such as ducking for cover. 



This is the first James Bond game to be playable on a next-gen console.
